Since Luxe’s inception in 2009, before same sex marriage was even legal, we have proudly welcomed all couples to our wedding planning docket. We were the first wedding planning company in our region to publicly announce our support of marriage equality by launching Portland’s first LGBTQ inclusive wedding shows, COMMITTED and MARRY ME NIGHT MARKET.
From day one, we have stood firm in our belief that love is love. We never segregate, discriminate, or change the way we serve based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Ever.
We are deeply grateful to the many same sex, trans, and non binary couples who have trusted us, from pre 2009 commitment ceremonies to today’s legally recognized weddings. For years, Luxe has been one of the most hired LGBTQIA+ wedding planning teams in the Pacific Northwest, and that is a legacy we hold with pride.
Our team has always reflected the diversity of the couples we serve, with members who have identified as gay, lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual. This lived experience helps us connect in a unique and genuine way with our LGBTQIA+ clients. Above all, we want every couple to know that Luxe is a safe haven, a hate free zone, and a company that celebrates love in all its forms.

OUR STATEMENT ON EQUALITY, HUMANITY, AND WHERE WE STAND
The last few years have left our team heartbroken, watching lives lost to a global pandemic and lives stolen by hate, discrimination, and violence. The truth is undeniable. Too many people in our communities live under daily threat because of the color of their skin, their immigration status, their sexuality, or their gender identity. Our hearts are with every family who carries that pain, fear, and grief.
Today, we are also witnessing a deeply troubling chapter in our country. Families are being torn apart. Immigrants are being dehumanized. Government agencies are being used to instill fear rather than protect human life. We reject the normalization of cruelty, the gaslighting of the public, and the rise of extremist ideologies, including Christian nationalism and white supremacy, that have no place in a functioning democracy.
We stand firmly against systems that perpetuate harm, including the inhumane treatment of immigrants and asylum seekers. We believe accountability matters. We believe human rights matter. We support lawful, ethical reform that prioritizes dignity, due process, and humanity over punishment and fear.
We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter & NO KINGS movement, and we extend that commitment to justice and equality for all people, across every race, culture, religion, gender, identity, and citizenship status. We pledge to resist discrimination in all forms, both overt and hidden, and to oppose every system that fuels inequality, oppression, and fear.
LUXE has never been a brand to shy away from hard truths. We believe using our voice and platform is part of our responsibility. From racial justice to marriage equality, from religious freedom to immigrant rights, from bodily autonomy to animal welfare, we will continue to show up, speak up, and align our work with values that protect life, dignity, and belonging.
We will continue to celebrate equality for all humans, highlight resilience and leadership within marginalized communities, and produce events that center inclusivity, safety, and respect. Our spaces are welcoming. Our values are clear. Our stance is unwavering.
