Color trends in weddings shift every year, and 2024 has been no exception. We have been seeing pale yellows, soft greens, and even orange show up in palettes — which honestly was a little unexpected. With Pantone’s color of the year, Peach Fuzz, many of us anticipated seeing more rich tones like chocolate, mocha, or that moody chocolate mousse color. But the reality? We just have not seen much of it at all.
Yes, there have been a few espresso-colored bridesmaid dresses at rehearsal dinners and some rich tones tucked into evening parties, but down the aisle? Not yet. It makes me wonder if this richer palette will pick up momentum in 2025.
What we are still seeing are the airy, fresh palettes of pale yellow and green. They are versatile, romantic, and photograph beautifully in outdoor settings. Even orange has made a comeback in certain floral palettes, pairing surprisingly well with citrus-toned summer weddings.

But here is the twist: every year, without fail, at least one or two of our couples chooses classic blue. That soft, ice blue hue remains one of the most timeless colors in weddings. It feels “wedding-y,” it feels elegant, and it photographs with a grace that will never go out of style.
While yellows and greens may define this year’s trend cycle, light blue remains a quiet, powerful favorite for couples who want something classic yet fresh.

✨ Pro Tip: When in doubt, lean into colors that photograph well in both natural light and evening light. Trends will come and go, but timeless tones like ice blue will always feel chic decades later when you look back at your photos.
As we move into 2026, I will be watching closely to see if chocolate and espresso shades finally make their aisle debut. But no matter the trends, I know light blue will continue to hold its place as a forever favorite.
